Dapto Public School “Davincis” Deliver Gallery to Remember
Dapto Public School students have come up with a creative solution to the challenge of not being able to host their usual annual art gallery due to restrictions related to Covid-19.
“Mona Lisa Reimagined” involved student artworks being hung creatively around the perimeter of the school grounds which allowed for visitors to walk in the fresh-air, socially distanced and enjoy the art pieces.
The student artwork (from right across Kindergarten to Grade 6) hung for multiple days and the school encouraged community members saying, “At such a lovely time of year with daylight savings, why not consider a family bike ride or a dog walk to check out the paintings.”
Community members could also vote for their favourite art pieces by scanning a QR Code attached to each of the artworks.
