Students Saving the Planet One Artwork at a Time

Students from St George Girls High School, Blakehurst and Sydney Technical High School have participated in the inaugural ‘Speak 4 the Planet’ competition. The event sees students present a piece in the form of speech, drama, art or video inspired by the tagline “if you can’t reuse it, refuse it.”

Linked with the Georges River Council, the event empowers students to engage with relevant environmental, social and political issues in their world and express their opinion in an effective way.

This year the competition coincided with World Environment Day and organisers are hoping it will become an annual event.
