Teachers Dunked into Freezing Water

Stawell Primary Students have jumped on board holding their own ‘Big Freeze’ event to help raise money and awareness for organisation FightMND (Fight Motor Neurone Disease). The ‘Daniher’s Drive’ event happening in the regional community, was a catalyst for the school to practically get involved as well.

The school hosted a blue themed casual dress day and at lunchtime, staff members faced an ice cold dunk tank where students had the chance to try dunk them into the freezing water. Overall, the efforts raised $1000 for the important cause.

Staff member Lisa Fleming shares that, “We were also able to take two of our student leaders to the Daniher’s Drive and present Neale Daniher himself with the amount we raised.”
