St Joseph’s College Toowoomba student leaders have used RUOK? Day 2020 as an opportunity to lead a range of activities to encourage wellbeing, mental health and conversations with classmates to check if they are OK.
Four different activities across a week during lunchtimes were arranged by the leaders including meditation sessions, skipping competition, personal training sessions and colouring in. There were also sessions instructing students on how to have a conversation on mental health with their peers.
“Our student leaders were keen to provide opportunities for our community to connect and help out each other heading into exams in an unprecedented year of challenges,” said staff member Ben Gehrmann.
