Mt Lilydale Mercy College Students Volunteer to Make Masks for Peers

Year 12 students from Mt Lilydale Mercy College have volunteered to sew facemasks for their peers after the announcement that they would be required at school. Several students got involved who had no prior experience in sewing.

The students learned how to pin a pattern, cut and stitch to create wearable masks out of off-cuts from the school’s textile department.

The school released a statement saying, “thank [you to] our Year 12 students for their leadership and ‘can do’ attitude — well done.”
