Over 450 students from 60 Perth schools gathered today at ‘In Your Head 2017’, a youth mental health forum for young people.

The event was organised by WA-based not-for-profit organisation, zero2hero. The zero2hero team envisions a world where mental illness is dealt with openly and treated as a normal part of everyday life.

The students who gathered at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre heard numerous keynote presenters, including retired Fremantle Dockers AFL captain Matthew Pavlich. A panel discussion included other Fremantle Dockers personalities Lachie Neale, Paul Hasleby and team psychologist Kim Mercer.

Elective workshops addressed topics such as body image, drug use, sexuality and exam stress.
