Second-Hand Uniforms Make a Global Impact

On 26th August, the school Captain’s and Yr 12 students at Sommerville House held a pop-up second-hand uniform sale, with a difference!

As the students near the end of their time wearing their uniform, the re-sale of their uniform items to younger students raised $1,550. This money will fund another year of schooling for Imam, a sponsor sponsor child in Tanzania who is soon entering high school himself.

Each year it is the responsibility of the Captains to fundraise for Imam’s sponsorship, an initiative started by previous School Captains. “We thank parents, students and Year 12 students for making the pop-up sale such a massive success!” said a school spokesperson.
