Palm Beach Currumbin State High Students Conquer $20 Boss Challenge

Palm Beach Currumbin State High School Year 9 students completed the “$20 Boss” challenge created by The Foundation for Young Australians (FYA). The challenge involves creating and selling a product with only $20.00 to launch.

“We saw upcycled pet blankets made from old clothes, terrariums made from donated succulents, op shop glasses and hustled jars, eco surf wax, bees wax lip balm and lots of more. Some of these kids didn’t even sell their product on the day because they’d negotiated shelf space in local shops and had already sold out…” Said Teacher Haydn Jenkins.

One of the student groups who chose to create a baked good stall and generated $400.00 in sales from the day.
