Norman Park State School Student’s Farewell School with a New Mural

As an end-of-year farewell, the graduating Year 6 cohort at Norman Park State School painted an amazing mural at their school (pictured).

The students collaborated with artist Wendy Cumes Rowell. The mural features a hill with the school logo at the centre, symbolising the importance of the school to the Norman Park community. The hill is filled with colourful patterns indicating diversity, and Norman Creek flows beneath it alongside native bush flowers and seeds.

Behind the hill, on the back wall, the students stepping up in silhouette form is a nod to the school’s STEPS program and also depicts the advancement of students through education. ⠀
