Singleton Heights Public School Students Dance Through NAIDOC Week

Singleton Heights Public School students have participated in NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) week by learning and performing a cultural dance and song for their entire school.

Teacher Kate Ferguson-Smith shared that she was proud of the school for increasing its Indigenous awareness through NAIDOC week in the last few years. This year the students worked with the theme, “Voice, Treaty and Truth”.

The day also included students participating in games and workshops to learn how to effectively have, “a voice for the culture” within their school.
