Christmas Hampers from Coomera

Students in years 7 to 11 at Coomera Anglican School have had the opportunity to help out those living on the Gold Coast who are in need this Christmas season. They have been collecting donations to assemble Christmas hampers that will be passed on to the St John’ Crisis Centre is located in Surfers Paradise.

This is a service that cares for the homeless and those in need on the Gold Coast, and the hampers are provided for these people with the hope of bringing a bit of joy around Christmas time.

Each classroom had a basket to be filled with items for donation and the school will contribute further during the holidays as a group of students will be volunteering their time to help put the hampers together.

“During the holidays, a group of students will be volunteering their time to help put the hampers together” said Christine Fairweather, from the Coomera Anglican College ‘Interact Club’.
