Students Help the Environment with ‘Grow Cart’ Idea

Students at Bayswater Primary School are implementing a range of strategies to help reduce waste within their community. Already growing fruit and vegetables as well as having a compost garden, the school have now also introduced a community grow cart and recycling bins to their campus.

Year 3 students came forward with the idea of using the leftover produce from their home and school gardens, and it is this idea that inspired the introduction of a grow cart. The grow cart allows for this leftover produce to be distributed to those who will use it within the community.
