1000 Hearts for Global Kindness

1000 Hearts was started in 2016 by Sarah De Jonge, a mother in Tasmania who had a simple idea – to make 1000 pocket-sized fabric hearts to spread some love and compassion.

Sarah’s project has inspired students at Mt St Michael’s College to become Heartists too. In the making and gifting of a heart to another, students are helping to foster a global kindness community that offers a heart to people who are struggling, feeling alone, suffered trauma and who need a bit of love.
