Students Training and Brainstorming Bushfire Response and Preparations

Students in Australia are being trained ready to prepare their communities to respond to bushfire danger effectively through a new education program known as ‘Project Firestorm’. The program involves firefighters presenting to students alongside purpose-made video content.

The sessions have been developed by the Rural Fire Service and include fictional characters in video as well as real-life recounts by current firefighters.
