Connolly Primary School Students Create Growing in Harmony Garden

Year 6 students from Connolly Primary School have partnered with their Year 2 “buddies” to create a “Growing in Harmony Garden”.

The project was part of the PALS program which “encourages WA schools to develop projects that promote reconciliation in their local community”. Students worked together to research Aboriginal culture and the 6 Noongar seasons in order to, “deeper understanding of reconciliation and the importance of the natural environment to Aboriginal people.”

The garden is designed so that the whole school will be able to enjoy it on campus with one student describing that they were “very proud of themselves” to be involved.
