Rove McManus to Inspire Students at National Young Leaders Day

Rove McManus is the latest high profile Australian to be announced as a speaker at the upcoming ‘National Young Leaders Day’ organised by Halogen Australia.

Rove will speak at the events for primary students in both Melbourne and Sydney, in March 2020. He is one of the most successful comedians and TV presenters that Australia has ever produced. In addition to being a triple Gold Logie winner, Rove is a radio host, TV producer and a children’s author.

In recent times Rove has used his humour and artistic talents to create very entertaining children’s books. He has written and illustrated the very popular ‘Rocky Lobstar’ and ‘Disgusting McGrossface’, both published by Scholastic Australia.

“I love reading. I always have” said Rove. “Even before I could actually read, I would get lost for hours in the drawings that came with my favourite stories.”

In describing how his quirky books relate to the broader world Rove said “There is nothing like a good book to widen your perspective of what the world could be. Suddenly a wardrobe becomes a potential portal to another world, and opening a chocolate bar has the ability for you to win the factory that made it.”
