GRIP Student Leadership Conference 2020 Theme Revealed

GRIP Student Leadership Conferences for the 2020 season will kick off in Term 4 across regional NSW before hitting the rest of Australia and New Zealand between November 2019 and May 2020.

Episode 32 of the Student Leadership News Podcast unpacked the theme of the next season titled “Lead The Way”. Ronan McGinniss from GRIP Leadership explained, “It’s natural for people to look to others to lead the way. For this reason, many schools select some students to fulfil special leadership roles. But it’s not having a position that makes someone a leader. In fact, many people have had a position and have never gone on to have any influence.”

Cameron Haines who attended last year’s conference described it as, “a wonderful investment not only for staff and students as leaders within our schools, but also in creating better people as individuals in society. Our student leaders came away with concrete resources and practical skills to enable them to continue to grow individually and as a leadership group.”
