Our Lady of Sion Students Walk Laps for Life

Students and staff from Our Lady of Sion College were signficant contributors to the recent ‘Relay for Life’ event, held close to their Box Hill school. The school group was amongst the top 4 teams in regards to their fundraising total, which was an impressive $6,536.

Relay For Life is a fun and moving overnight experience that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services. It is a chance for the community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, patients and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost to cancer and to raise money to help save more lives.

The event for the Manningham region was held from Saturday 7th September at 4pm until the following day at 12 noon. Held at the Doncaster Athletics Track, the group were amongst 18 teams and 366 participants who continuously walked around the track.
