Toorak College Students Create “Caps for Cancer”

Toorak College boarding students have sewn warm caps for women and children cancer patients in an initiative they have called “Caps for Cancer”. 70 students were involved in the creation of the ‘caps’.

Caralyn Dea, a teacher at the school said, “Sewing these warm caps have not only taught the girls valuable life skills, but the boarders have bonded.”

All the caps were donated to the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Frankston Hospital in what was described as the first project for the group of students aimed at promoting community spirit.
