Brain Tumour Battler Focussed on Others

Middleton Grange School student Izaac Wilson has organised an art auction to raise funds for World Vision’s 40 Hour Famine. The auction includes art by New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, a signed All-Blacks jersey and pieces from notable artists Craig Potton and Karen Smith.

Izaac has been inspired to fundraise for this cause for a number of years consecutively after being diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 5 and going successfully through treatment. Izaac’s mum explains, “He came out so thankful for what he has had and got and wanted to help those who needed it more than him.”

This year’s art auction saw over $12,000 raised which will go towards providing food, clean water, emotional and educational support for displaced children in South Sudan.
