Willetton Primary School Students Battle Brain Cancer

Willetton Primary School students Jenna Bass and Leila Dawson are for the second time in their school career leading a Beanies for Brain Cancer Day.

The best-friends were inspired last year by Jenna’s own Grandfather who sadly lost his own battle to brain cancer. The pair want to make the fundraiser even bigger saying, “It felt really good because they actually listened to nine-year-olds and there were so many beanies.”

Through an assembly in which students wear a colourful beanie and a “guess the lollies” jar $805 was raised last year. All funds raised this year will again go to The Mark Hughes Foundation.
