Students Create Video About Child Safety

Glenwood High School have made a stand against child sexual assault through a moving video created by talented students.

Students recognised the enormity of the issue ‘with 1 in 5 children sexually harmed in some way before their 18th Birthday’ and decided to break the silence of horrible crime using their creativity. 30 Students worked together to produce the video aiming to increase awareness of child sexual assault after being confronted with the reality of it affecting more than 58,000 Australian Children each year.

“Every Australian child has the right to feel safe and when we see young people proactively engaging with friends and peers with such powerful messaging to help break the silence of this crime, it’s extremely inspiring,” said teacher, Ms Johnston.

Students have raised great awareness surrounding White Balloon Day.
