Who Are the 15 Australian Leaders Hand-Picked to Speak to Students?

Halogen Australia have recently announced a list of 15 high profile Australians who will speak to students attending the upcoming National Young Leaders Day.

Below you will see the list of Australians who will feature in different Australian cities.

Halogen have assembled a very diverse group of speakers. The line-up includes leaders from sport, science, the arts, politics, community service, media, advocacy and business. It includes Indigenous Australians and migrant Australians, men and women, traditional heroes and modern trailblazers. Perhaps the most interesting balance is between those with age and wisdom and those whose journey still has far to go.

The list of 15 speakers announced so far is as follows:

 

Adam Goodes: Sporting legend and former Australian of the Year. (Speaking at Sydney secondary student event)

Dr Fiona Wood: Medical doctor, inventor and former Australian of the Year. (Speaking at Perth primary student event)

Harrison Craig: Singer and winner of The Voice. Harrison has a great story of how he found singing to be a remedy for his stutter. (Speaking at Melbourne and Sydney primary student events)

Nick Dal Santo: 300 game AFL superstar and highly respected role model. (Speaking at Melbourne secondary student event)

Gorden Tallis: Rugby league legend with Queensland and the Brisbane Broncos. (Speaking at Brisbane secondary student event)

 

The Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP: Premier of New South Wales (Speaking at Sydney secondary student event)

Kane Cornes: Perhaps the biggest AFL name in South Australia. (Speaking at Adelaide secondary student event)

 

Prudence Melom: Founder of E-Raced and campaigner for unity. Prudence has an amazing story of migrating to Australia as a child. (Speaking at Brisbane secondary student event)

 

Nathan Bazley: Probably the most watched media presenter amongst primary school students. Nathan has hosted ABC’s ‘Behind the News’ for ten years. (Speaking at Adelaide primary student event)

 

Andrew Scipione: Recently retired NSW Commissioner of Police (Speaking at Sydney secondary student event)

Michelle Cowan: Described as the foremost female leader within AFL football in recent years. Currently coach of the Fremantle Dockers. (Speaking at Perth secondary student event)

John Coutis: Speaks to millions of people worldwide with his personal story of life without the lower part of his body. (Speaking at EVERY primary and secondary student event)

Rick Ardon: Household name in WA as the host of Channel 7 news for many decades. (Speaking at Perth primary and secondary student events)

Tammy Barton: Well known from TV appearances relating to the business she founded ‘My Budget’. An entrepreneur and budgeting expert. (Speaking at Adelaide primary and secondary student events)

Andrew Embley: One of the most loved West Coast Eagles AFL players of all time. (Speaking at Perth primary and secondary student events)
